Nutrition Book Hunt
This game by Carol Otis Hurst first appeared in Teaching K-8 Magazine.
This game can be done at several levels. This first level is simple completion of the sheet according to the directions below. A slightly higher level is to construct balanced meals using only the ingredients in the books. Still higher would be to research the nutritional value of each item.
Directions: Find a picture book or novel (not a non-fictional book) in which each of these foods is listed in the title or is a main focus of the book. List the author and the title in the blanks provided.
